Personal insight

Matthew’s Honest View

A straightforward explanation of who the car suits, what stands out and anything worth knowing before a viewing.

Best For

Someone who needs a proper family car with a good-sized boot, but still wants something comfortable, economical and easy to drive every day.

What I Like

I like how much space it offers without feeling like a large or heavy car. The Focus has always been good to drive, and the automatic gearbox makes this one particularly easy to live with.

Things to Know

It is fitted with the 1.0 EcoBoost engine, so it is designed to give you useful performance without the running costs of a larger engine. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at the last service, which is important maintenance worth knowing about.

Why I Bought It

I bought it because it is a really nice, well-maintained example with full service history and all the important work kept up to date. It is practical, comfortable and drives exactly as it should.
